I was charity shopping the other day and I saw a couple of wonderful toby mugs and it made me think of some work I did for the print module in my 2nd year , it was based on a family friend who would go to a country pub every evening and drink ale from a mug (his hands were a little shaky) and smoke his pipe.
I would love to paint my own toby mugs and the recent BBC4 documentary about ceramics was very inspiring but I’m not sure my patience would last the ceramics process!
